A Tour of Eco Roast and a Selection of Deliciously Responsible Coffee

400 billion cups of coffee are consumed in the UK each year producing 500,000 tonnes of coffee waste sent to UK landfill and 1.8 million tonnes of CO2 emissions.  The 918 Coffee Company, based in Semley, Wiltshire have developed a pioneering zero waste closed loop technology for harnessing the energy from waste coffee grounds to roast ethically sourced coffee from around the world.  This prize is a tour of the coffee roasting facility and six 250g bags of mouth-wateringly delicious coffee.  Supplier to the Eden Project and Winner of the 2017 Green World Awards.  918 coffee is on sale locally and online

A 1.5 litre BPA free, stainless steel flask designed to keep drinks cold for 24 hours and hot for 12. Donated by Coconut and Cotton, a plastic free, waste reducing store offering products online and household refills from their Shaftesbury, Dorset store.  Started by a local entrepreneur to provide people with affordable options to start living more sustainably.  See

Vegetable Box or Voucher from Kensons Farm

A small farm producing delicious fresh, Soil Association certified organic vegetables, eggs from organic free range pasture roaming happy hens and seasonal flowers grown on site.  Produce is on sale from the Veg Shed in Sutton Mandeville, Wiltshire and at Shaftesbury and Salisbury markets.  The prize is available as a vegetable box you can take home on the night or as a £25 voucher if you have already bought your veg for the week.  See

My Funky Bags

A stunning bag from My Funky Bags made from recycled single use plastic and shipping tape hand woven by Indonesian traditional bamboo weavers who lost their artisan skill when bamboo went out of fashion in the mid 1980’s. The recycled tape is providing them with a new livelihood opportunity allowing them to utilise their amazing craft skill whilst saving plastic waste from landfill or the ocean. See for more designs

Two-Year Membership of Rainforest Concern


The prize is a two-year membership of Rainforest Concern, a leading conservation charity, including sponsorship of two acres in the Neblina Reserve, a biodiversity-rich tropical montane cloud forest reserve in the threatened forests of north west Ecuador.  Over its 25-year history, Rainforest Concern has helped to protect over 2.2 million hectares of native forests, the biodiversity they contain and the communities who depend on them for their survival.  See
